RESOLUTION NO. 2001-027 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN <br />APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE STATE <br />OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF WATER <br />RESOURCES UNDER THE COSTA-MACHADO WATER <br />BOND ACT OF 2000 FOR CREEK RESTORATION IN <br />SANTIAGO PARK <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby, finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. The California Department of Water Resources, Division of Local <br /> Assistance, Urban Streams Restoration Program has announced the <br /> availability of funds for grants. <br /> <br />Said grants funds are intended to help solve flooding and erosion <br />problems in a way that provides environmental enhancements and <br />benefits. <br /> <br />The Santiago Park Neighborhood Association has proposed to co-sponsor <br />a grant application with the City of Santa Aha. <br /> <br />The California Department of Water Resources established procedures <br />and criteria that require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval <br />of application before submission of said application to the State. <br /> <br />E. The application contains assurances that the applicant must comply with. <br /> <br />The applicants, if selected, will enter into an agreement with the State of <br />California to carry out the environmental enhancement and mitigation <br />project. <br /> <br />The City will comply with all federal, state and local requirements related <br />to this project. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana approves the filing of a joint <br />application with the Santiago Park Neighborhood Association for an Urban Streams <br />Restoration Program Grant. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-027 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
