BK: 5/1/01 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001-034 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br />CITY'S DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR <br />BUILDING AND SITE LIGHTING <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. From time to time, the City has adopted and revised design and <br />development standards to apply to new development within the City. <br /> <br />B. Typically, these design and development standards are adopted by <br />resolution, following the recommendation of the City's Planning Commission. <br /> <br />C. The City's Planning Commission has, after a full and complete review, <br />recommended that the City Council adopt revised design and development <br />standards relating to building and site lighting. <br /> <br />D. The proposed revised building and site lighting amendments consist of four <br />separate items: (1) accent lights; (2) Code requirements; (3) design objectives; and <br />(4) design standards. <br /> <br />E. The Council finds that the existing building and site lighting standards are <br />outdated, offer incomplete information and should be revised. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2.
