RESOLUTION NO. 2001-069 <br /> <br />CGN: 10/8/01 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA ADOPTING THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />BIKEWAYS STRATEGIC PLAN <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare as follows: <br /> <br />The City of Santa Ana approved the City of Santa Ana Bikeway Master <br />Plan in 1998. <br /> <br />In order to be eligible for Bicycle Transportation Account funding, the City <br />of Santa Ana is required to adopt a bicycle transportation plan that meets <br />the requirements of the California Bicycle Transportation Act (California <br />Streets and Highways Code Section 890 through 894.2). <br /> <br />The City of Santa Ana Bikeway Master Plan does not meet the <br />requirements of the Califemia Bicycle Transportation Act. <br /> <br />The California Bicycle Transportation Act allows the City of Santa Ana to <br />adopt by reference a countywide plan. <br /> <br />The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) adopted the OCTA <br />Commuter Bikeways Strategic Plan (CBSP) on August 27, 2001. <br /> <br />The CBSP meets the requirements of the California Bicycle Transportation <br />Act. <br /> <br />The CBSP requires minor modification to be consistent with the Santa Ana <br />Bikeway Master Plan. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Council adopts the Orange County Transportation Authority <br />Commuter Bikeway Strategy Plan, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated <br />herein, as modified by the addendum attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and incorporated <br />herein, as the City of Santa Ana Bikeways Strategic Plan. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 15th ~ day of October, 2001. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-069 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
