RESOLUTION NO. 2001-088 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN, AND TO AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL BUDGET TO ALLOCATE FIVE POSITIONS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council hereby, finds, determines and declares as follows: Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council. On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. On June 18, 2001, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. NS-2474, which establishes the City's Annual Budget, autho, rizing position allocations for Fiscal Year 2001-2002, and which sets forth the requirement that alterations in the allocation of authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the City Council. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded 500 Housing Choice Vouchers to the City of Santa Ana, requiring additional staff to effectively administer them. The Executive Director of the Community DeveLopment Agency proposes to create two (2) new classification titles and to add five (5) additional positions to the current Annual Budget, as amended. It is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, and the Fiscal Year 2001-2002 Budget, as amended, in order to effect these changes.
