RESOLUTION NO. 2002-021 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />GRANT FUNDS FROM THE URBAN PARK AND <br />RECREATION RECOVERY PROGRAM MABURY PARK <br />SECURITY LIGHTS REHABILITATION PROJECT <br /> <br />mjv:03/26/02 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: "..~. - <br />- Al Cohgress under Pqblic Law 95-625 authorized the establishment of the <br /> '-~ Urba~ Park and 'F~"re~a;tion Recovery Grant Program, providing matching <br /> funds to economically distressed urban communities for rehabilitation of <br /> critically needed recreation facilities. <br /> <br />The National Park Service is responsible for administration of the program <br />in, setting up necessary rules and procedures governing application by <br />local agencies under the program. <br /> <br />Said procedures established by the National Park Service require the City <br />Council to certify by resolution the approval of the application and the <br />availability of local matching funds prior to submission of said applications <br />to the State. <br /> <br />D. The City has been deemed eligible to apply for said funds. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby: <br /> <br />Approves the filing of applications for Urban Park and Recreation <br />Recovery Program assistance in the amount of $86,233.00 for the Mabury <br />Park Security Lights Rehabilitation Project. <br /> <br />Certifies that sufficient matching local funds exist through the General <br />Fund or Proposition 40. <br /> <br />Certifies that, upon award of the grant, The City of Santa Ana Parks <br />Recreation and Community Services Agency is authorized to accept and <br />administer the grant. <br /> <br />Certifies that the project is compatible with the land use plan of those <br />jurisdictions immediately surrounding the project. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2002-021 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
