RESOLUTION NO. 2002-031 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUMMARY VACATION OF <br />A 12 FOOT WIDE BY 120.80 FOOT LONG STRIP OF <br />WlLLITS STREET DIRECTLY NORTH OF 1516 AND 1520 <br />WlLLITS STREET <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />The City of Santa Ana intends to vacate a 12 foot wide by 120.80 foot long <br />strip of Willits Street directly north of 1518 and 1520 Willits Street <br />pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 3 of Part 3 of <br />Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. <br /> <br />The vacation of the 12 foot wide by 120.80 foot long strip of Willits Street <br />directly north of 1516 and 1520 Willits Street is a summary vacation <br />because the strip lies within property under one ownership pursuant to the <br />provisions of section 8334 of the Streets and Highway Code of the State <br />of California. <br /> <br />The strip of Willits Street to be vacated is not necessary for traffic <br />circulation. <br /> <br />The strip of Wiilits Street to be vacated contains no in-place public utility <br />facilities that would be affected by the vacation under section 8334.5 of <br />the Streets and Highway Code of the State of California. <br /> <br />It is unnecessary to reserve an easement for public service purposes or <br />for future street or alley purposes. The vacation will terminate a public <br />service easement and all vehicular rights to the specified portion of Willits <br />Street. <br /> <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed <br />project is exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption ER No. <br />.2002-129 will be filed for this reporL <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby approves the <br />summary vacation of the 12 foot wide by 120.80 foot long parkway strip of VVillits Street <br />directly north of 1516 and 1520 Willits Street, as more particularly described in Exhibit A <br />hereto, which is incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2002-031 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
