Roll Call was answered By Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, <br />Harry H. Ea~¥ey, Henry II. Schlueter, and Mayor A. Allen Hall. Councilman <br />James Gilmore was absent. Following ~he Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, <br />the Invocation was ~elivered By the Reverend Hal Edwards, First Methodist <br />Church. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Miss Toffy Mendoza, Queen of the <br />Fiesta of Our Lady of Guadalupe- <br />Our Lady of the Pillar, presented <br />a cake to Mayor Hall o~ behalf <br />of the parishioners. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUFES <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br />seconded By Councilman Schlueter <br />and carried, the F~utes of the <br />Regular Meeting of July 20, 1964 <br />were approved. <br /> <br />B~D AWARD - CONSTRUCTION On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br />OF ~INGER seconded by Councilman Harvey <br /> ~n~ carried, Council receive~ <br /> a~$rAered filed the report of <br />bids received for Project 140, the ce~stracticm of Edi~ger between Bristol <br />and Maple; approved award of the contract to Sully-Miller Contracting <br />Company at unit prices hid; an~ rejected all other hi~s. <br /> <br />B~D AWAi~D - CON~TRUCTION (~ motion of C~ctlma~ HuBb~d, <br />~ ~A'l-r & ~ sec~de~ ~ C~ci~ Schlueter <br /> ~ ca~ied, Co~cil o~ered <br /> f~e~ repo~ of bids receive~ <br />for ~oJect 1~, the c~st~ction of ~itt Bet~en C~t~l ~d Segerstr~ <br />~d ~oJect C-118, the c~st~ction of A~ east of Bmitt; appro~d a~rd <br />~ c~t~ct to ~ustrial C~t~ct~g C~ at ~it prices bi~; ~ <br /> <br />rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />~ayor Hall opened the continued <br />hearing on Amendment Application <br />506 filed hy Araold Mueller to <br />amend Sectional District Map 6-5-9 <br /> <br />By reclassifying from the A 1 to the C 2 district, property on the south <br />side of Fairhaven between Lincoln and Glassell. <br /> <br />James Guthrie, 1023 Wo 17th Street, representing the applicant, stated that <br />the property is presently used as a rest hc~e, but when the area was annexed <br />to the City it was prop~se~ that the host use was a service station; that <br />a lease is ready for signing with ~hell Oil Company if rezoning is approved. <br /> <br />The Planning Director stated tha$ the Pls~ C~-~t~sion recommended denial <br />of the application~ as it has against all ~ 2 ~plicatiens em Gr~md~ <br />because of the proposed u~e~ but because the C.-~;~t~si~ felt development <br />should be by variance. ~r.
