RESOLUTION NO. 2002-084 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TFIE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO <br />EXECUTE A GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING <br /> <br />CLS: 101402 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby, finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />The Santa Ana Police Department has received fifth year funding for the <br />Domestic Violence Victim Advocacy Program from the Office of Criminal <br />Justice Planning in the amount of $78,750.00. <br /> <br />This funding provides for the implementation of an additional domestic <br />violence investigator and a full-time victim advocate. <br /> <br />The grant also will provide a victim notification system which will be <br />located in the Santa Ana Police Jail facility as well as training of law <br />enforcement personnel in domestic violence and resources for a Police <br />Department apprehension team for domestic violence offenders. <br /> <br />D. The grant requires a matching fund of twenty-five percent. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby authorizes and <br />directs The Chief of Police or his designee to execute the grant award agreement with <br />the Office of Criminal Justice Planning. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the <br />City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 21st day of October, 2002. <br /> <br />Resolution No, 2002-084 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
