RESOLUTION NO. 2002-092 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110 AND <br />91-066 TO CHANGE THE TITLES OF SEVERAL <br />PLANNING AND BUILDING SAFETY CLASSIFICATIONS <br />AND ONE PUBLIC WORKS AGENCY CLASSIFICATION <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br /> <br />On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. <br />82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />C= <br /> <br />On July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 91- <br />066, re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for <br />classes of employment designated as unrepresented Executive <br />Management (EM) and Middle Management (MM). <br /> <br />D= <br /> <br />The Executive Director of Planning and Building Safety proposes title <br />changes to several plan check engineering classifications, and the <br />Executive Director of Public Works proposes a title change to one <br />transportation classification. The changes are desired to more accurately <br />reflect the duties and responsibilities of the positions, to more closely align <br />the classifications with the titling practices of the industry and to keep <br />internal consistency with the classifications. <br /> <br />It is now desired to amend Council Resolutions No. 82-110, as amended, <br />and No. 91-066, as amended, in order to effect these changes. <br /> <br /> Section 2: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by executing the following changes in classification titles at no change <br />to the six-step salary rate ranges currently assigned: <br /> <br />From <br />Associate Plan Check Engineer <br />Senior Assistant Plan Check Engineer <br />Transportation Analyst <br /> <br />T._.Qo <br />Senior Plan Check Engineer* <br />Associate Plan Check Engineer* <br />Senior Transportation Analyst* <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2002-092 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
