RESOLUTION NO. 2002-094 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO <br />PROVIDE AN EQUITY ADJUSTMENT FOR CERTAIN <br />POLICE RECORDS CLASSIFICATIONS <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br /> <br />On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. <br />82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for <br />Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />It is the City's goal to ensure that salaries are internally equitable and <br />competitive with the labor market. <br /> <br />Based on the findings of a study conducted by the Personnel Services <br />Department, the Police Chief proposes to provide an equity adjustment <br />for four salaries assigned to class titles in the Police Records Division, to <br />ensure that the City attracts and retains qualified incumbents in these <br />positions. <br /> <br />It is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 82-110 in order to <br />effect these changes. <br /> <br /> Section 2: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by: providing equity salary adjustments to the following class titles <br />assigned to a six-step salary rate range: <br /> <br />Class Title <br />Police <br />Records <br />Specialist. <br /> <br /> 6 Step Salary Rate Range (SRR) Effective: <br />FROM TO <br /> 7-1-03' <br />Annual <br />No. (Min-Max) No. <br /> <br />500 ($28,692-$36,624) <br /> <br /> Annual <br />(Min-Max) <br /> <br />518 ($31,356-$40,020) <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2002-094 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
