Recitals: WITNESSETH A. City and Contractor entered into an Agreement, dated October 9, 2001 by which Contractor agreed to provide electrical engineering services to assess existing systems, design improvements, prepare complete construction documents and construction cost estimates for the electrical system upgrades for Fire Stations No. 2 and No. 7 ("said Agreement"). B. Additional work is required to enhance the efficiency of the back-up generator system. The Parties now desire to amend the Agreement to increase the amount of compensation by $7200.00, increase the scope of work to allow the additional work and to extend the term of said Agreement. WHEREFORE, in consideration of their mutual and respective promises, and subject to the terms and conditions of said Agreement as hereby amended, the parties hereby agree as follows: The first paragraph of Section 1, TERMS AND CONDITIONS, shall be amended to read as follows: "The term of this Agreement shall commence on October 9, 2001 and shall terminate December 31, 2003. Services shall be rendered in an expedient and professional manner." 2. Section 2, SCOPE OF SERVICES, shall be amended to read as follows: "The Contractor shall provide electrical engineering services to the City as defined in Exhibits A and B to the Agreement and Exhibit A-1 attached to this Amendment." 3. Section 3, COMPENSATION, shall be amended to read as follows: "The City will pay to Contractor total compensation under this Agreement which shall not exceed Forty Three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($43,200.00).
