MINUTE~ OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF T"": CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA AHA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />November 16, 1964 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. inthe Council Chambers, 217 <br />North Main Street. Roll call was answered by Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, <br />Harry Ho Harvey, James Gilmore, Henry H. Schlueter, and Mayor A. Allen Hall. <br />Following the Fledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was delivered <br />by the Reverend Karl 0verbeek, Parkview Reformed Church. <br /> <br />APPROVAL 0FMINUTES <br /> <br />DID- AD~2OMOBILES <br /> <br />196~ for six automobiles, Spec. 621-48. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br />seconded by Councilman. Harvey <br />and carried, the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of November 2, <br />196~ were approved as mailed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br />seconded by Councilman Bchlueter <br />and carried, Council extended <br />bid opening date to December 7, <br /> <br />REAL PROPERT~ SALE Mayor Hall announced the sale of <br /> surplus real property at the <br /> northwest corner of Broadway and <br /> Ed~nger, with minimum bid of. <br />$21,140. The Clerk read the one written bid received fr~a G. L. A. Develop- <br />ment, 1621 E. 17th, in the amount of $21,2~0, accompanied by cashier's check. <br />There being no response to three calls for oral bids, the property was <br />~eclared sold to G. L. A. Development, for $21,2~0.00. <br /> <br /> A.A. 522 <br />SEGER~TROM <br /> <br />Mayor Hall opened the hearing on <br />Amendment Application 522 filed <br />by Harold T. Segerstrcmproposing <br />t~amend Sectional District Map <br />26-]-10 by reclassifying fram the R ~ to the R 1 district, property onthe <br />north side of Talbert between Bristol and Fairviewo <br />Resolution 570~ recommended approval. <br /> <br />Planning C~ssion ' ,: :' <br /> <br />The Clerkreported that notice of the hearing was published as required by law <br />and evidence thereof was on file with the Clerk; and that no written communications <br />or objections had been received. <br /> <br />Jack Croul, representing Bohr Processing Corporation, 1603 W. Alton, objected <br />to the application as being incompatible with their manufacturing use which is <br />sixty feet away, statt~ R 4 provided buffe~people would have less children <br />and would protest less to light, noise, and hours of nearby manufacturing <br />uses and railroad.
