MUi~AL AID On motion of Councilman Nu~bar~, seconded by Councilm-n Harvey and carried, Council referred to City Attorney and Manager for study and recommendation, agreements for mutual fire protection with County of Orange and various cities. by Council=-~ Harvey and carried, Council authorized execution of a mutual agreement with the County of Orange for employment of architect for la, out and design of the Civic Center, with the City of Santa Aaa participating by one-half of cost up to a maximum of $15,000. AUCTION REGULATIONS On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Harvey and carried, consideration of report regarding Phil Hanson's request for change in auction regulations was continued to January ~, 1964. APPEAL iN - The Planning Director reported regarding HALL Appeal 1~8 filed by Clarence ~L. Hall frc~ the Planning Commission's denial of Variance Application 1999 to construct 37 four unit apartments with less than required front and side yard setbacks in A 1 and C 1 districts at 317 N. Euclid, stating that all points of difference had been resolve~ except the number of units. The Planning C.-~mission recmmaended approval subject to certain conditions. REC. OF SURVE~ 384 On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilm-~ Schlueter and carried, C~ucil approved Preliminary Record of Survey 38~ filed by Security Fore Corporation creating three C 2, R 4 and R 1 parcels south of Warner, west of Bristol, subject to the conditions outlined in the Planning Director's report dated December 1~, PRE. REC. OF SURVE"f 381 PreliminaryRecord of Survey ~81was filed by C. Rowland Flagg, creatingthree C 5 parcels at the southwest corner of Edinger and Pacific. Luigi Salvaneschi, 24202 Stanford, submitted a letter from Dr. C. Rowland Flagg, requesting that the alley rec~ended by the Planning Department be constructed from Pacific Street for only 143.78 feet. The Planning Director stated that Con~lition D (1) as revised in his report would make this acc~--,odation. On motion of Councilman Hubbard~ seconded hy Councilman Harvey and carried, the letter was ordered filed and Preliminary Record of Survey 381 was approved, subject to the conditions outlined in the planning Director's report dated December 2, 196~, with Condition D (1) revised to read as follows: "That a 20 foot alley easement be dedicated aud improved to City standard atongthe entire south boundary of the most easterly parcel as shown on the preliminary CITY COUNCIL - 133 - December 21, 1964
