BMP 1 <br /> <br />WATER SURVEY PROGRAMS FOR SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL <br />AND MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS <br /> <br />Implementation <br /> <br />Implementation shall consist of at least the following actions: <br /> <br /> a) Develop and implement a strategy targeting and marketing water use surveys to <br /> single-family residential and multi-family residential customers. <br /> <br /> b) Directly contact via letter or telephone not less than 20% of single-family <br /> msidemiat customers and 20% of multi-family residential customers each <br /> reporting period. <br /> <br /> c) Surveys shall include indoor and outdoor components, and at minimum shall have <br /> the following elements: <br /> <br />Indoor <br /> <br /> i) Check for leaks, including toilets, faucets, and meter check <br /> <br /> ii) Check showerhead flow rates, aerator flow rates, and offer to replace or <br /> recommend replacement, as necessary <br /> <br /> iii) Check toilet flow rates and offer to install or recommend installation of <br /> displacement device or direct customer to ULFT replacement program, as <br /> necessary; replace leaking toilet flapper, as necessary <br /> <br />Outdoor <br /> <br /> iv) Check irrigation system and timers <br /> <br /> v) Review or develop customer irrigation schedule <br /> <br />Recommended but not required <br /> <br /> vi) Measure currently landscaped area <br /> vii) Measure total irrigable area <br /> <br />d) Provide customer with evaluation results and water saving recommendations; <br /> leave information packet with customer. <br /> <br />e) Track surveys offered, surveys completed, survey results, and survey costs. <br /> <br /> <br />
