ORDINANCE NO. NS-2522 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AMENDING CHAPTER 8 AND 14 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOPT AND AMEND <br />THE MOST RECENTLY ENACTED CALIFORNIA BUILDING <br />CODE, CALIFORNIA ELECTRICAL CODE, CALIFORNIA <br />PLUMBING CODE, CALIFORNIA MECHANICAL CODE, <br />UNIFORM SWIMMING POOL, SPA AND HOT TUB CODE, <br />UNIFORM CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS <br />BUILDINGS, UNIFORM SIGN CODE, UNIFORM HOUSING <br />CODE, UNIFORM SOLAR ENERGY CODE, UNIFORM FIRE <br />CODE TOGETHER WITH PERMITS, FEE COLLECTION <br />AND PENALTIES RELATED THERETO AND REPEAL OF <br />CODE SECTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That section 8-3 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended such <br />that it reads as follows (new language in bold, deleted language in strikeout for tracking purposes <br />only): <br /> <br />Sec. 8-3. Building Official or Administrative Authority. <br /> <br /> Whenever a reference is made to the Building Official or Administrative Authority <br />in any provision in this chapter, or in any California, uniform or national code <br />incorporated by reference into this chapter, such reference shall be taken to mean the <br />Deputy City Manager for Development Services or such employee within the Planning <br />and Building Agency of the City as is designated by the said Deputy City Manager to <br />act in such capacity. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That section 8-5 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended such <br />that it reads as follows (new language in bold, deleted language in strikeout for tracking purposes <br />only): <br /> <br />Sec. 8-5. Fees. <br /> <br /> Fees and charges for permits, plan review, inspections, reinspections, <br />investigations, hearings or other purposes requiring fees as set forth in the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code shall be established from time to time by resolution of the City Council. <br />Any provision of any California, uniform or national code adopted by reference herein <br />as part of the Santa Ana Municipal Code that may set forth fees are hereby deemed <br />amended and superceded by this section. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. NS-2522 <br /> Page 1 of 47 <br /> <br /> <br />
