There is adopted by the city that certain code known as the Uniform Housing <br />Code, 1997 Edition, together with the appendices and code standards therein <br />(hereinafter referred to in this article as the "Housing Code"), together with subsequent <br />supplements, amendments, or editions, which shall become effective, adopted, and <br />incorporated by reference into the Santa Ana Municipal Code on each new official <br />publication date of the Housing Code. The Housing Code is adopted and incorporated <br />by reference as though fully set forth at length herein as provided for in section 419 of <br />the Charter of the city, except for the changes to the Housing Code set forth in this <br />Chapter of the Santa Ana Municipal Code that specifically amend the Housing Code. <br />Any previously enacted, unrepealed provision of the Santa Ana Municipal Code that <br />amended a pre-1997 Edition of the "Housing Code" shall also be construed as <br />amending the applicable provision of the 1997 or later Edition of the Housing Code. <br />The Housing Code as amended, together with all other provisions of this article, shall <br />be known as the City of Santa Ana Housing Code. <br /> <br /> SECTION 63: That section 8-1226 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended such that it reads as follows (new language in bold, deleted language in <br />strikeout for tracking purposes only): <br /> <br />Sec. 8-1226. Adoption by reference. <br /> <br /> There is adopted by the city that certain code known as the Uniform Sign Code, <br />1997 Edition (hereinafter referred to in this article as the "Sign Code") together with <br />subsequent supplements, amendments, or editions, which shall become effective, <br />adopted, and incorporated by reference into the Santa Ana Municipal Code on each <br />new official publication date of the Sign Code. The Sign Code is adopted and <br />incorporated by reference as though fully set forth at length herein as provided for in <br />section 419 of the Charter of the city, except for the changes to the Sign Code set forth <br />in this Chapter of the Santa Ana Municipal Code that specifically amend the Sign Code. <br />Any previously enacted, unrepealed provision of the Santa Ana Municipal Code that <br />amended a pre-1997 Edition of the "Sign Code" shall also be construed as amending <br />the applicable provision of the 1997 or later Edition of the Sign Code. The Sign Code <br />as amended, together with all other provisions of this article, shall be known as the City <br />of Santa Ana Sign Code. <br /> <br /> SECTION 64.: That section 8-1900 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended such that it reads as follows (new language in bold, deleted language in <br />strikeout for tracking purposes only): <br /> <br />Sec. 8-1900.
