iNSUR,~NCE ON FiLE <br />WORK MA'f PROCEED <br />UNTIL IItSURRI~ICE EXPU~ES <br /> <br /> t <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br /> <br />N-2002.128 <br /> <br />THIS AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT made and entered into this <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />August, 2002, by and between the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal <br /> <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Daniel Achatz ("Consultant"). <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br /> A. City and Consultant entered into a Consultant Agreement, dated February <br /> 28, 2002 by which Consultant agreed to provide counseling and/or <br /> instructional services to the inmates housed at the Santa Ana Jail (said <br /> "Agreement"). <br /> <br /> B. The parties desire to increase the hourly rate of compensation for services <br /> <br /> provided. <br /> <br /> WHEREFORE, in consideration of their mutual and respective promises, and <br />subject to the terms and conditions of said Agreement as hereby amended, the parties <br />hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Section 2 a., COMPENSATION, of said Agreement is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> <br />"City agrees to pay, and Consultant agrees to accept as total payment for its <br />services, an hourly rate of thirty seven dollars ($37.00) for all scheduled <br />instructional and counseling sessions. The total sum to be expended under this <br />Agreement, shall not exceed $ 9,500.00 during the term of this Agreement." <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
