("Consultant") and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation, f"Y\- organized and existing under the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"). N-2003-071 0'1 Recitals: A. City and Consultant entered into Consultant Agreement N2002-048, dated February 28, 2002, (hereinafter "said Agreement") by which Consultant has provided counseling and instructional services to inmates housed at the Santa Ana City JaiL B. The parties amended said Agreement, N2002-128, dated August 1,2002, to increase the compensation for services. C. In accordance with the tenns and conditions of said Agreement, the parties wish to extend the tenn and amend the Scope of Services of said Agreement. Wherefore, in consideration ofthe covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject to all the tenns and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this Second Amendment to Consultant Agreement, the parties agree as follows: 1. Section 1, SCOPE OF SERVICES, shall be amended to read as follows: "Consultant shall perfonn those services as set forth in Exhibit A-I to this Second Amendment to Consultant Agreement." 2. Section 3, TERM, shall be amended to read as follows: "This Agreement shall commence on the February 28,2002 and tenninate on June 30, 2004, unless tenninated earlier in accordance with Section 12, below. The tenn ofthis Agreement may be extended upon a writing executed by the Chief of Police and the City Attorney." II II II
