INSURANCE ON FILE WORK MAY PROCEED UNTIL INSURANCE EXPIRES 6-f g®-L,9_3 CLER OF COUNCIL DATE, 9_f -0 2„ FIRST AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT N_2002 -i 15 03 THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT, is entered into on July 1, 2002, by and between Lidia Carmona (hereinafter "Consultant ") and the City of Santa Ana (hereinafter "City "). Recitals: A. The parties entered into an Agreement dated October 23, 2001, (hereinafter "said Agreement ") by which Consultant has provided counseling to inmates housed in the Santa Ana Jail. B. In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the parties wish to renew said Agreement for an additional one year period, to increase the hourly rate of compensation for services provided, and increase the total amount of the contract. Wherefore, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this First Amendment to Consultant Agreement, the parties agree as follows: 1. Paragraph 2.a. COMPENSATION, shall be amended to read as follows: "City agrees to pay, and Consultant agrees to accept as total payment for its services, an hourly rate of twenty -two dollars ($22.00) for all scheduled counseling sessions. Compensation shall be increased $10,000 to pay for services provided during the extended term of this Agreement. The total sum to be expended under this Agreement, shall not exceed $15,000.00 during the term of this Agreement." 2. Paragraph 3, TERM, shall be amended to read as follows: "This Agreement shall commence on October 23, 2001 and terminate on June 30, 2003, unless terminated earlier in accordance with Section 12, below. The term of this Agreement may be extended upon a writing executed by the Chief of Police and the City Attorney." 3. Except as hereinabove amended, all terms and conditions of said Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
