INSURANCE ON FILE WORK MAY PROCEED UNTIL INSURANCE EXPIRES DATE, '~e\ 0'''''''~ SECOND AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT N-2002_ 111 THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT, is entered into on July 1, 2002, by and between Chris Cowper (hereinafter "Consultant") and the City of Santa Ana (hereinafter "City"). Recitals: mo The parties entered into an Agreement dated June 29, 2000, (hereinafter "said Agreement") by which Consultant has provided counseling and instructional services to inmates housed in the Santa Ana jail. B. Said Agreement was extended for one year, to June 30, 2002, by a letter agreement. C. By amendment, the parties increased the compensation available to Consultant for services provided pursuant to said Agreement. Do In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the parties wish to renew said Agreement for an additional one year period and to increase the hourly rate of compensation for services provided. Wherefore, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this First Amendment to Consultant Agreement, the parties agree as follows: 1. Section 2.a. COMPENSATION, shall be amended to read as follows: "City agrees to pay, and Consultant agrees to accept as total payment for its services, an hourly rate of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) for all scheduled instructional and counseling sessions. The total sum to be expended under this Agreement, shall not exceed $9,000.00 during the term of this Agreement." 2. Paragraph 3, TERM, shall be amended to read as follows: "This Agreement shall commence on June 29, 2000 and terminate on June 30, 2003, unless terminated earlier in accordance with Section 12, below. The term of this Agreement may be extended upon a writing executed by the Chief of Police and the City Attorney."
