INSURANCE ON FILE <br />WORK MAY PROCEED <br />UNTIL INSURANCE EXPIRES <br /> <br />DATE, '~e\ 0'''''''~ <br /> <br />SECOND AMENDMENT TO <br />CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br /> <br />N-2002_ 111 <br /> <br /> THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT, is entered <br />into on July 1, 2002, by and between Chris Cowper (hereinafter "Consultant") and the <br />City of Santa Ana (hereinafter "City"). <br /> <br />Recitals: <br /> <br />mo <br /> <br />The parties entered into an Agreement dated June 29, 2000, (hereinafter "said <br />Agreement") by which Consultant has provided counseling and instructional services <br />to inmates housed in the Santa Ana jail. <br /> <br />B. Said Agreement was extended for one year, to June 30, 2002, by a letter agreement. <br /> <br />C. By amendment, the parties increased the compensation available to Consultant for <br /> services provided pursuant to said Agreement. <br /> <br />Do <br /> <br />In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the parties wish to <br />renew said Agreement for an additional one year period and to increase the hourly <br />rate of compensation for services provided. <br /> <br />Wherefore, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject <br />to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this First <br />Amendment to Consultant Agreement, the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Section 2.a. COMPENSATION, shall be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"City agrees to pay, and Consultant agrees to accept as total payment for its services, <br />an hourly rate of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) for all scheduled instructional and <br />counseling sessions. The total sum to be expended under this Agreement, shall not <br />exceed $9,000.00 during the term of this Agreement." <br /> <br />2. Paragraph 3, TERM, shall be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"This Agreement shall commence on June 29, 2000 and terminate on June 30, 2003, <br />unless terminated earlier in accordance with Section 12, below. The term of this <br />Agreement may be extended upon a writing executed by the Chief of Police and the <br />City Attorney." <br /> <br /> <br />
