N- 2003 -066 <br />INSURANCE ON FILE <br />WORK MAY PROCEED SECOND AMENDMENT TO <br />UNTIL rANCE EXPIRES CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br />1 <br />CLERK OF 0 NCIL <br />MME: <br />THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT is entered <br />into on the day of Ta , 2003 by and between Ron Israel ( "Consultant ") <br />and the City of Santa Ana, a cliarter city and municipal corporation, organized and <br />existing under the Constitution and laws of the State of California ( "City "). <br />Recitals: <br />A. City and Consultant entered into Consultant Agreement N2000 -115, dated July 18, <br />2000, (hereinafter "said Agreement ") by which Consultant has provided counseling <br />and instructional services to inmates housed at the Santa Ana City Jail. <br />B. Said Agreement was amended to increase compensation and extend the term by <br />Amendment N- 2002 -113, dated July 1, 2002. <br />C. In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the parties wish to <br />amend said Agreement to again extend the term and amend the Scope of Services. <br />Wherefore, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject to <br />all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this Second <br />Amendment to Consultant Agreement, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. Section 1, SCOPE OF SERVICES, shall be amended to read as follows: <br />"Consultant shall perform those services as set forth in Exhibit A -1 to this Second <br />Amendment to Consultant Agreement." <br />2. Section 3, TERM, shall be amended to read as follows: <br />// <br />"This Agreement shall commence on the July 18, 2000 and terminate on June 30, 2004, <br />unless terminated earlier in accordance with Section 12, below. The term of this <br />Agreement may be extended upon a writing executed by the Chief of Police and the City <br />Attorney." <br />
