Roll call was answered by Councilmen James Gilmore, <br />Walter Brooks, Davis Burk, Wade Eerrin, J. Ogden Markel, Tom McMichael and <br />Mayor Harry H. Harvey. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Om motion of Councilman McMichael, <br />seconded by Councll-~-~ Gilmore and <br />carried, Council approved the <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of <br /> 17, <br /> <br />VOTE COUNTING It was moved by C~ucilm~ Brooks, <br /> seconded by Councilman Gilmore that <br /> the Council direct correspondence to <br /> State Legislators opposing Senate <br />Bill 1012, which would prohibit ballot counting at a centralized location. <br /> <br />Counc~l~n Gilmore pointed out there is a companion bill, Assembly Bill <br />1607, which would provide for bi-partisan checking of electronically <br />counted ballots. Councilma~ Brooks amended his motion to add "and favoring <br />ASsembly Bill 1607". The amended moti°n to direct.correspondence to State <br />Legislators opposing Senate Bill 1012, which w~ald prohibit ballot counting <br />at a Centralized location, and favor~-g Assembly Bill 1607, was adopted on <br />roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES, COUNCILMEN: <br /> <br />NOW~, COUNCILMEN: <br />ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: <br /> <br />Gilmore, Brooks, Burk, Herrin, <br />McMichael, Harvey <br />Markel <br />None <br /> <br />BI3) AWARD - On motion of Councilman Gilmore, <br />PROJECT 156 seconded by Councilman ]~ooks and <br /> carried, Council ordered filed the <br /> report of bids received for Project <br />156, widening ~th from Santa Ana Freeway to T~stin Avenue; approved award <br />of contract to O. E. Wenderson Construction Company at unit prices; and <br />rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />BID AWARD - Om motion of Counc~ lm~n McMichael, <br />LIGHTING seconded by Councilman Brooks and <br /> carried, Council ordered filed the <br /> report of bids for lighting system <br />in Santiago Park, Spec. 691-22; approved award of contract to R. F.
