RESOLUTION NO. 2003-063 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA CALIFORNIA, CERTIFYING BALLOTING <br />RESULTS AND TERMINATING ASSESSMENT <br />PROCEEDINGS. <br /> <br />JWF 7/15/03 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />1. The canvas of votes cast by the property owners is completed and has been <br /> certified by the Clerk of the Council, and the votes cast were as follows: <br /> <br />a. Total Ballots Processed - 18,829 <br />b. Total Assessment Amount of Ballots Processed - $1,460,752.56 <br />c. Total Ballots Processed in Favor of the Proposed Assessment - 4,239 <br />d. Assessment Amount of Ballots in Favor of Proposed Assessment <br /> - $429,897.18 <br />e. Total Ballots Processed in Opposition to the Proposed Assessment <br /> - 13,269 <br />f. Assessment Amount of Ballots in Opposition to Proposed Assessment <br /> - $1,030,855.38 <br /> <br />Therefore, as determined by the ballots cast as weighted according to the <br />amount of assessment owed by each parcel, a majority of the property owners <br />voted against the proposed assessment. <br /> <br />3.
