TSI Transportation Studies, Inc. <br />WORK PLAN/METHODOLOGY A Traffic Data Collection Company <br />The Scope of Services included in the RFP for the proposed project contains a detailed listing and schedule <br />for required tasks and deliverables. Following is a brief discussion of the methodology to be utilized in <br />conducting these tasks. <br />24 HOUR MACHINE COUNTS AND VEHICLE CLASSIFICATION COUNTS <br />Enter locations into computer and print a set log. <br />Drive locations to establish street configurations <br />Establish a work flow pattern <br />Work up a flow map for multiple sets to be utilized by field personnel <br />Check with the City of Santa Ana before field work begins in order to validate field plan <br />Set machine on day prior to count day, recheck machines daily for any problems <br />When counts are complete, pick up and download all data immediately <br />Evaluate results <br />Fax preliminary results to the City of Santa Ana for their review and approval <br />Upon approval compile data and prepaze report <br />TURNING MOVEMENT COUNTS AND PEDESTRL4N COUNTS <br />Enter locations into computer and print out daily count locations <br />Drive locations and determine number of people needed to count each location <br />Establish a work flow pattem <br />Work up a flow map for locations to be utilized by count personnel <br />Distribute work to count personnel <br />When counts are complete, download al( data immediately <br />Print out results and evaluate <br />Fax preliminary results to the City of Santa Ana for their review and approval <br />Upon approval, compile data and prepare report <br />~~~ <br />1350 Reynolds Ave., Ste. 115, Irvine • CA 92614 • (949) 852-8460 • Fax (949) 852-8441 <br />
