BID AWARD - The City Manager filed with Council A.D. 229 a report of bids received for construction of sewers in Edinger- Newhope area Assessment District 229, recommending acceptance of the lowest bid by Orange Coast Pipeline Construction Company. RESOLUTION 65-167 AWARDING CO~fRACT, ASSESSME~TDISTRICTNO. 229, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA (Orange Coast Pipeline Construction Company) was read by title. It was moved by Councilman Gilmore, seconded by Councilman Burk, that further reading be waived and Resolution 65-167 be adopted. NS-823 The Mayor announced that certain REFUSE COLLECTION inconsistencies in the language of Ordinance NS-823 regulating refuse collection, had been brought to his attention, and he recommended its referral to the City Attorney for clarification of terms such as rubbish, garbage, and refuse. On motion of Councilman Gilmore, seconded by CounciLman Burk and carried, Council postponed action on Ordinance NS-823 to the meeting of November l, 1965. ORD. NS-831 ORDINANCE NS~831 CORRECTING AN ERROR AMEND. APP. 559 IN THE DESCRIi~ION CONTAINED IN BERRY ORDINANCE NS~821 RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 559 FILkl~ BY R. J. AND SYLViA D. BERRY was introduced by title. It was moved by Councilman GiLmore, seconded by CounciLman Brooks and carried, that Ordinance NS-831 be passed to second reading. RESJ 65-160 RESOLUTION 65-160 AFFIRMING THE V.A. 2170-ROCHAMBEAU DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND DENYING VARiANCE ON APPLICATION NO. 2170 FILED BY DONALD AND KAREN ROCHAMBEAU was read by title. It was moved by Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman GiLmore, that further reading be waived and Resolution 65-160 be adopted. The City Manager reviewed the matter~ which was complicated because two pieces of property were involved, and expressed willingness to accept Mr. Heinly's proposal that the requirement for improvements on Figueroa be eliminated.
