Rouw regarding ambulance service charges. <br /> <br />JOINT POWERS - <br />Chamber of C~mmerce crmm-mication expressing support in principle of the Joint <br />Powers Agreement prepared by County Counsel and reviewed by City Attorney. <br /> <br />TAXI PERMITS It was moved by Counc/]-~u Brooks, <br /> seconded by Counci]w~n McMichael, <br /> that the Yellow Cab Company be <br /> ~formed they do not need action <br />from Council regarding license permits for twelve additional taxis; that Council <br />deny loading zones as requested; and deny reconsideration of the permit fee. <br /> <br />Mr. Hal Winter, Downtown Santa Ann Association, stated the Association has taken <br />into consideration a study into the need of taxis in the downtown area and submitted <br />a letter urging that the City Council approve, on a 6 month trial basis, taxicab <br />stands within the central core area not to exceed two locations. <br /> <br />The original motion was withdrawn. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman McMichael and carried, <br />that the request to reconsider the license fees at this time be denied. <br />CITY COUNCIL - 435 - January 3, 1966 <br /> <br /> <br />
