Claim for Money due, filed by Christine Dockter, be denied. <br /> <br />STREET LIGHTING The Public Works Director reported <br /> ~L to the Council regarding the <br /> request from Greer Bros. Enterprises <br /> to install Edison Co. street light- <br />Lng in lieu of individual post lights, required as condition of approval by <br />Council on 7-6-65 for Tentative Tract 6007. <br /> <br />Mr. Greer told Council that he had intended to install the individual post <br />lights, but the problem arose because several homes will not be built in the <br />area for two or three years, thus he is not able to satisfy the Public Works <br />Department regarding the condition of lights in the sub-division; therefore <br />the bond for the tract will not be released. <br /> <br />Dr. John H. Holliday, 1223 River Lane, property owner in the area, spoke in <br />opposition to the installation of Edison lighting. The City Manager stated <br />that there had been no problem as far as criminal activity in this area, <br />however, ~uless lights are installed this problem will arise. The Manager <br />suggested that Mr. Greet obtain a deed restriction that would require future <br />residential occupants to install the individual post lights as approved by <br />previous Council. <br /> <br />Mr. M~ron Potter, 1231 River Lane, felt that an agreement could be reached <br />among the remaining property owners for future property owners to install <br />the individual post lights. The City M~nager stated that since Mr. Greer <br />had sold remaining vacant lots he had no right of entry to the property, <br />therefore, he would have to get the people to sign a deed restriction. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Brooks, seconded by Co,~ucilman McMichael and <br />carried, that the request from Greer Bros. Enterprises to install Edison Co. <br />street lighting in lieu of individual post lights for Tentative Tract 6007, <br />be denied. <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Reg Wood, 1212 N. Sycamore, <br /> F~ Land Planning Consultant, spoke <br /> regarding the improvements on <br /> Edinger at Gates, that the <br />property owners on Gates would lack access with the closing of the street. <br />Ne stated that on behalf of the property owners in the area this matter be <br />held in abeyance. <br /> <br />The Public Works Director stated that the City of Fountain Valley is planning <br />a connection between Lilac and new Edinger to Gates, elbowed to form a T- <br />intersection, and that the major part of the work would be in Fountain Valley. <br />Public Works and Fountain Valley are scheduled to discuss street improvement <br />plans on Thursday, April 1~, 1966. <br /> <br />Councilman McMlchael suggested that the joint signing of these plans be <br />delayed to allow Mr. Wood to confer with the Public Works Departments of <br />both cities. <br /> <br />ADJOT~ <br /> <br />At 10:45 p.m. the meeting was <br />adjourned on motion of Councilman <br />Herrin, seconded by Councilman <br />Burk and carried. <br /> <br />DORIS/~/~.
