It was moved by Councilman Narkel, seconded by Counc~lm~n Rrooks and carried, <br />that the matter be contlmued until June 6~ 1966. <br /> <br />TENT. PARCEL MAP 460 Nro Da~ Prokmow representing the <br /> engineers for the project reviewed <br /> the conditions of the Planning <br /> Director's report dated 5-10-66 <br />reccm~ending approval of Parcel Nap 460 filed by Clyde and Ethel Bishop creating <br />one R i and one C 5 parcel at the northeast corner of Glassell and Fairhaven. <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Rimel~ Attorney for Clyde Bishop questioned the City Council and the <br />Public Works Director regarding procedures and conditions to be met before <br />obtaining a building permit. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilma~ Markel~ seconded by Councilman Herrin and carried, <br />that Council approve Tentative Parcel Nap 460/und waive alley requirement. <br /> subject to conditions in Planning Director's reporb~ <br /> ~- dated 5-10-66 <br />TENT. PARCEL MAP 461 It was moved by Councilman Narkel, <br /> seconded by Councilman Herrin amd <br /> carried, that Council approve <br /> Tentative Parcel Nap 461 filed ~y <br />Joh~ L. ~tntz creating two parcels south of Bishop between Nalladay and Cedar~ <br />subject to conditions im Plam~ing Director's report dated 4-28-66o <br /> <br />use of recreation areas. <br /> <br />The City Council requested the City <br />Nanager to explain the policy of the <br />City in regard to Mrs° Virginia <br />Green's protest of joint City-School <br /> <br />The City Manager explained the advantages of the combined City-Schoo! use of <br />recreation areas whereby the School District purchases l0 acres and the City <br />purchases 10 acres~ simultaneous purchase of properties making it possible to <br />obtain per acre charge less than if bought separately$ possibility of better <br />design layout; smd creating ccmbined use of property during summer programs <br />sponsored by the City. <br /> <br />Mrs. Virginia Green gave Council pictures she had taken showimg school equipment <br />and requested City look into conditions in orange grove near school and provide <br />fenct~g around school playgroun4$. <br /> <br />Itwas moved by Co~ucilmanBrooks~ seconded by Councilman Herrin and carried, <br />that the letter fr~ Mrs. Vlrgimia Green~ protesting Joint City-School use of <br />recreation areas, be received and filed. <br /> <br />SOLICITATION <br /> <br />approved subject to sixty day limitation. <br /> <br />It was moved by CounciLman NcMtchael, <br />seconded by Councilman Markel and <br />carried, that the request to solicit <br />frc~ Evangelism Crusades~ Inc., be <br /> <br />P~Y~CTION IN SALAE~ STEPS <br /> <br />from merit increases, be approved. <br /> <br />~NDE~GROUND CON~'JIT <br /> <br />CI~ CO~CIL <br /> <br />It was moved by CouncilmamErooks, <br />seconded by Co%umcilmanBlzrkand <br />carried, that the Mamager~s report <br />dated 5-5~66 reccm~aending reduction <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Burk~ <br /> seconded by Councilma~ Herrin and <br /> carried, with CounciLman Narkel <br /> voting ~No~, the request from <br />- 532 - Nay 16, 1966 <br /> <br /> <br />
