PARCEL MAP 460 Nro Da~ Prokmow representing the engineers for the project reviewed the conditions of the Planning Director's report dated 5-10-66 reccm~ending approval of Parcel Nap 460 filed by Clyde and Ethel Bishop creating one R i and one C 5 parcel at the northeast corner of Glassell and Fairhaven. Mr. Richard Rimel~ Attorney for Clyde Bishop questioned the City Council and the Public Works Director regarding procedures and conditions to be met before obtaining a building permit. The City Council requested the City Nanager to explain the policy of the City in regard to Mrs° Virginia Green's protest of joint City-School The City Manager explained the advantages of the combined City-Schoo! use of recreation areas whereby the School District purchases l0 acres and the City purchases 10 acres~ simultaneous purchase of properties making it possible to obtain per acre charge less than if bought separately$ possibility of better design layout; smd creating ccmbined use of property during summer programs sponsored by the City. Mrs. Virginia Green gave Council pictures she had taken showimg school equipment and requested City look into conditions in orange grove near school and provide fenct~g around school playgroun4$. SOLICITATION approved subject to sixty day limitation.
