NS-861 i~ ORDINANCE'NS-861 AMENDING SECTION 3280 <br />SPE~ LIMITS OF PART 8, CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE III OF <br /> THE SANTA AMA MUNICIPAL CODE TO AMEND <br /> AND RE-ESTABLISH SPEED LIMITS <br />THE CITY was read by title. It was moved by C~ncilman Gilmore, seconded <br />by Councilman Herrin, that further reading be waived and Ordinance N8-861 <br />be adopted. On roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Gilmore, Brooks, Burk, Herrin, Markel, Harvey <br />NOES: None <br />ABSz~vr: Councilman McMichael <br /> <br />RES. 66-132 :- ~' It was moved by Councilman Markel~ <br />CLOSING PARTON STREET seconded by Councilman Herrin, that <br /> the City Council not adopt Resolution <br /> 66-132 closing Parton Street between <br />Walnut and Pine Streets. The members of the City Council discussed this <br />proposal at length with Dr. Miller and Mr. Stone, of the School District, <br />the City M~uager~ the Director of Public Works and the Fire Chief. Dr. <br />Miller noted that the purpose of the request is to allow the crossing of <br />900 students two times each day and he passed out to the City Council a <br />diagram showing how the street would be closed and signs to be installed. <br /> <br />A substitute motion by Councilman Markel, that the matter be postponed to <br />the next Council Meeting and referred to the Staff for notification of <br />people in the area~ was seconded by Councilman Herrin and carried. <br /> <br />RES. 66-134 <br /> ~ RESOI~JTION 66-134 CHANGING THE NAME <br />CHANGING 22ND TO PORTOLA A¥~uE OF 22ND STRE~'£ BETW.:.:N' WRIGHT STREET <br /> , AND PORTOLA PAR~, TO "PORTOLA AV~E" <br /> was read hy title.
