FAIRNAV~ - GLASSELL ~ In response to the Council's request 1NTK~SECTION for a re-survey of the intersection of Fairhaven ~ Glassell and its rating on the priority list for traffic signals, the Public Works Director reporte~ that the intersection does not quite meet the warrants, but is very close; that there are six other intersections in the City which do meet the warrants, four of which are very close to the Fairhaven - Glassell intersection in priority, but that, with the opening of the Freeway in April, this intersection will have a strong warrant. Richard Namblin requested that either a SCHOOL, SLOW or PEDESTRIAN CROSSING sign be placed on old Grand as it appr~ches the school. The Public Works Director noted that this is a STOP intersection, with a STOP A~EAD a~d a ST~P sign there already amd that there is no standar~ sign that says SD~W. Zu respease to request by ~r. ~am~lin that a cross-walk Be ~ai~te~ at Fairhaven amd Lincolm~ the Pmblic ~rk~ Director replied there were already sig~s there delineating CURVE and SLOW TO l0 ~L~S P~ H0;~ that l~int w~uld be applied, but there was s~e question as to whether or not it w~uld stick.
