The meeting was reconvened at 7:30 P.M., with all Councilmen present. Following the Pledge of Allegiance, the I~vocation was delivered by the Revere~ S. Z. Henderson, Second ~aptist Church of Santa Aha. APPEAL 181 Hearing was opened on Appeal 181, ART m~u~ - VA 20~5 ~* filed ~y Ar~ Neeb, et al, from the pl~ing Cc~,.isslon's approval of VA 2095 for Hercules Construction Company to construct 24 unit apartment building in R2B District with less than required parking at 806 S. Cypress, continued fr~a 10-25-66. Dale Heinly, attorney for the appella~ts~ ~rged denial of the variance because of density; no exceptional circumstances or necessity; inadequate parktng; and detrimental to area. Harry Tancredi~ speaking on behalf of the variance applica2ian, stated he had been trying to obtain a variance for the property for ~cme years; had revised it ai~cer development of the General Plan, with less density; that the property had been offered for sale at a reasonable price fo~ parking for Main Street properties; that there was par~t-g in excess of requirement; that no Cypress Street owners he~l ever objected. There being no further testlmony~ the hearing was closed.
