T~ATIVE PARCEL M3~P ~94 ~ ~ On motion of Councilman Gi!more~ seconded by Councilm~n F~rkel and carried~ Council approved Tentative Parcel Map 49~ filed by Kermit E. Buford, creating two parcels at the southwest corner of Yale and Castor~ subject to conditions set out in the Planning Director's Report dated'December l~, 1966. FEATHEH R/VER PROJECT ASSOCIATION On motion of Councilman Gilmore, seconded by Councilman Herrin and carried~ Council ordered filed request frcm Feather River Project Association for the City to enter into service agreement for $5~0 to advance program and activities of statewide Feather River Project Association. SOLICITATION ~ ~\ On motion of Councilman Gilmore, seconded by Councilman Brooks and carried, the application of Orange County Heart Association to solicit funds during the month of February, 1967 for their annual campaign, was approved. OVERW]IFfH DRIVEWAY ~ ~ On motion of Councilman Burk, seconded by Councilman Herrin and carried~ Council approved the Public Works Director's recommendation for an overwidth driveway at Burford's Auto Finishes, 1910 South Yale Street. BOND RELEASE ~ ~ Acting on the Public Works Director's report of satisfactory completion of improvements in Tract 6161, Park Lane and Hesperian Street~ on motion of Ccrunc~lma~ ~4cMichael~ seconded by Coune~lman~ Herrin and carried~ the Council approved release of bonds. ~PLOYMENT OF ~ 6 ~ Councilman Burk asked if there should SPECIAL COUNSEL ~e any limitations in any ~ay on this matter. The City Manager stated that he thought it should be handled on a c.!.~.~.ittee basis for the terms of the employment. On motion of Councilm~ McMichael, seconded by Councilman B~ooks and carried, the request for authorization to employ special legal counsel to assist the City Attorney in special defense actions now pending in the courts was granted, with the recummendation that any limitations to be placed on this be submitted to the Council.
