RESOLUTION NO. 2003-069 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO <br />EXECUTE A GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING <br /> <br />PJC: 073003 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby, finds, determines and <br />declares as follows: <br /> <br />The Santa Ana Police Department has received sixth year <br />funding for the Domestic Violence Victim Advocacy Program <br />from the Office of Criminal Justice Planning, in the amount of $115,000.00. <br /> <br />This funding provides for the implementation of an additional <br />domestic violence investigator and a full-time victim advocate. <br /> <br />The grant also will provide a victim notification system which will be located <br />in the Santa Ana Police Jail facility as well as training of law enforcement <br />personnel in domestic violence and resources for a Police Department <br />apprehension team for domestic violence offenders. <br /> <br />The grant requires a matching fund of twenty-five percent. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby authorizes and directs <br />The Chief of Police or his designee to execute the grant award agreement with the <br />Office of Criminal Justice Planning. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City <br />Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting this <br />Resolution. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 2003. <br /> <br />Miguel A.
