EXHIBIT A <br />Scope of Work <br />Annual Accomplishment Goal <br />Number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served with grant fund, during the 1 2- <br />month contract period = <br />PERSONS <br />II. Description of Work -in space below, describe the program to be funded during the ! .' -month contract <br />period including, services to be provided, program goals, client characteristics, & how grant tends will be uuli&d. <br />The Mexican American Opportunity Foundation will serve 20 children (age; 3 to 10 years old) <br />and their families by providing at two-hour Folklore Dance Class on Friday evenings. This <br />program targets very low/moderate income families and serves Santa Ana residents. <br />Our goal is to promote cultural pride, family bonding, increase communication. along with <br />providing families with the resources to pursue a higher education for their ch i idren. During <br />rehearsals, the classes enable children to acquire self-esteem and the eagerness to succeed <br />academically. <br />This program is intended to help underprivileged families by promoting culttu al arts, providing <br />resources that will allow children to become involved in community activities ,hat will prevent <br />them from becoming involved in gangs and drugs. <br />Funds will be utilized to hire an instructor who will teach Mexican Folkloric '[)once Classes; <br />including techniques to warm-up before class. The instructor will rehearse and practice <br />movements, coordination, and rhythm skills, including entering and exiting the stage and <br />performing in public. The coordinator will oversee registration & enrollment o!'students, and <br />prepare reports.
