MINUTES OF THE REGULAR I~i'ING ~ · <br /> OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA AMA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />June 5, 1967 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers, 217 <br />North MAin Street. Roll call was answered by Councilmen Wade Herrin, Walter <br />Brooks, James E. Carlson, Lorin Griset, J. Ogden Markel, Thomas Thurman and <br />Mayor Tom McMichael. Also present were City Manager Carl J. Thornton, City <br />Attorney William L. Mock, 'Director of Public Works Ronald Wolford, Senior <br />Planner Steve Lafer, and Clerk of the Council Doris M. Brown. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />were approved as written. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Nerrin, seconded <br />by Councilman Griset and carried, Minutes <br />of the Regular Meeting of May 15, 1967, <br /> <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENANCE On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br /> by Councilmah Grisetand carried, Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />Traffic Signal Maintenance Contract; awarded contract at unit prices to the low <br />bidder, Traffic Signal Maintenance Company; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />PROJECT 260, PROJECT C-135, On motion of Councilm-u Herrin, seconded <br />PROJECT C-l~5 by Councilman Griset and carried, Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />Project 260 - Tustin Ave. from Catalina Ave. to the north City limits; Project <br />C-135 - Santa Clara Ave., from 500 feet west of Mantle to 100 feet west of <br />Mantle St. and Santa Clara Ave. from 300 feet west of Tustin Ave. to Tustin <br />Ave.; Project C-l~5 - Portola St. at Mabury St. and Cul-de-Sac at Mantle St.; <br />awarded contract at unit prices to the low bidder, Sully-Miller Contracting <br />Company; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />PROJECT S-~7, PROJECT S-~ On motion of Counc~lm~n Brooks, seconded <br />SANITARY SEWERS by Councilman Herrin and carried, Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />Project S-47 - Sanitary Sewers, Broadway from Sixth St. to Nineteenth St.; <br />Project S-44 - Seventeenth St. from Santa Aha Freeway to Lincoln Ave. and <br />Lincoln Ave. from Santa Clara to 390 feet south; awarded contract at unit <br />prices to the low bidder, Oslo Construction Co., Inc.; and rejected all <br />other bids. <br /> <br />UNIFORM RENTAL SERVICE On motion of Councilman Carlson, seconded <br /> by Councilman Herrin amd carried, Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />Uniform Rental Service; awarded contract to the low bidder, Boss Uniform and <br />Towel Service; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />WESTERN PIPE CASES <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 67-80 RE DISTRIBUTION OF <br />SE?~LEME~ FJNDS AMONG PLAINTIFFS IN <br />WESTERN PIPE CASES was read by title. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Brooks, seconded by CounciLman Herrin, that further <br />reading.be waived and the resolution be adopted.
