ORDINANCE NO. NS-2630 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA REZONING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE <br />DOWNTOWN AREA FROM CENTRAL BUSINESS (C3) TO <br />CENTRAL BUSINESS-ARTISTS VILLAGE (C3-A) (AA NO. <br />2003-02) <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> ~P. ction 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby find, <br />determine and declare as follows: <br /> <br />A= <br /> <br />Amendment Application No. 2003-02 has been filed with the City of Santa <br />Ana to change the zoning designation for several properties located in the <br />downtown business area from Central Business (C3) to Central Business- <br />Artists Village (C3-A). <br /> <br />The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana held a duly noticed <br />public headng on May 12, 2003, on Amendment Application No. 2003-02 <br />and determined that Amendment Application No. 2003-02 is consistent with <br />the District Center General Plan land use designation and the land use <br />pattern of the area, and recommended by a unanimous vote that the City <br />Council approve Amendment Application No. 2003-02. <br /> <br />A Negative. Declaration for Environmental Review N o. 2 003-33 h as been <br />prepared for this project. <br /> <br />This Council, prior to taking action on this ordinance, held a duly noticed <br />public hearing on June 2, 2003, on Amendment Application No. 2003-02. <br />Said hearing was continued to August 18, 2003. <br /> <br />E= <br /> <br />Amendment Application No. 2003-02 is hereby found and determined to be <br />consistent with the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana and otherwise <br />justified by the public necessity, convenience and general welfare. <br /> <br /> ~. The City Council has reviewed and considered the <br />information contained in the initial study and the declaration for Environmental Review <br />No. 2003-33 prepared with respect to this Project. On the basis of this review, the City <br />Council finds that there is no evidence from which it can be fairly argued that the project <br />will have any adverse effect on the environment. The City Council hereby certifies and <br />approves the negative declaration and directs that the Notice of Determination be <br />prepared and filed with the County Clerk of the County of Orange in the manner required <br />by law. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. NS-2630 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
