MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ~TING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />July 17, 1967 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers, 217 <br />North Main Street. Roil call was answered by Councilmen Wade Herrin, Walter <br />Brooks, James E. Carlson, Lorin Griset, J. Ogden Markel, Thomas W. Thurman, <br />and Mayor Tom McMichael. Also present were Assistant City Manager Bruce <br />Spragg, City Attorney William L. Mock, Director of Public Works Ronald Wolford, <br />Senior Planner Steve Lafer, and Clerk of the Council Doris M. Brown. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF NINUTES <br /> <br />1967, were approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded <br />by Councilman Herrin and carried, the <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 3, <br /> <br />ASPHALTIC SLU1LRY SEAL On motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded <br /> by Councilman Griset and carried~ Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />Spec. 271-102, Asphaltic Slurry Seal; awarded contract to the low bidder, <br />Asphalt Coating Company at unit prices; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />FIRE BOSE ~?~ ~' On motion of CounciLman Griset, seconded <br /> by Councilman Herrin and carried, Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />Spec. 6~1-116, Fire Bose; awarded ccmtract to the low bidder, Albro Fire <br />Equipment Company at unit prices; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />UNtFORM RE~TAL c~ ~ It was moved by Councilman Brooks, seconded <br /> by Councilman Herrin and carried, that the <br /> request from Boss Overall Supply Co. to <br />assign the contract for uniform rental to Prudential Overall Supply be granted, <br />and the assignment accepted. <br /> <br />BROADWAY SEWER ~'/'' On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br /> by Councilman Herrin and carried, Council <br /> approved plans and specifications and <br />authorized advertising for bids for Project S-51 - Sewer in Broadway from <br />19th to Charlotte, opening August 15, 1967. <br /> <br />ORD. N8-88~ - DYER AND GRAND <br />NORTHWEST ANNEX <br /> <br />was read by title. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NS-884 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION <br />OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "FfER AND GRAND · <br />NORTHWEST ANNEX" TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Griset, to adopt the <br />ordinance, waiving further reading.
