JOINT AGREEMENT FOR THE <br /> <br />IMPLEMENTATION AND OPERATION OF THE ORANGE COUNTY <br />800 MEGAHERTZ COUNTYWIDE COORDINATED COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM <br /> <br />This Agreement is entered into on Apri 1 24 ,1996 by and between the Parties listed on <br />Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. <br /> <br />WlTNESSETH: <br /> <br />Whereas, the installation, maintenance and operation of a Countywide Coordinated Law <br />Enforcement/Public Works/Fire Radio Communications System, to be known as the 800 MHz <br />Countywide Coordinated Communications System (CCCS), is desirable, <br /> <br />Now, Therefore, in consideration of the mutual covenants, conditions, agreements and <br />stipulations hereinafter expressed, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. SYSTEM <br /> <br />The 800 MHz CCCS, hereinafter referred to as System, shall be implemented in <br />the County of Orange. Said System is described in Contract No. S0000015.95 for <br />an 800 MHz CCCS, dated September 19, 1995. <br /> <br />The Parties hereby designate County of Orange GSA/Communication~ Division <br />as the "Lead Agency" in acquiring and implementing System. <br /> <br />DEFINITION OF TERMS <br /> <br />"Contract City" is defined as a city receiving law enforcement, public works or <br />fire services from the County or any Participating Agency under the terms of a <br />contract. <br /> <br />"Fire Agency" is defined as, and shall include, all governmental Fire Agencies <br />operating primarily within the limits of Orange County. <br /> <br />"Governing Authority" is a City Council, County Board of Supervisors or Orange <br />County Fire Authority Board of the Participating Agencies, responsible for <br />approving cost modifications.
