EXHIBIT A <br />Scope of Work <br />Annual Accomplishment Goal <br />I. Number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served with grant funds during the 12- <br />month contract period = 60 PERSONS <br />I1. Description of Work - in space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month contract <br />period including, services to be provided, program goals, client characteristics, & how grant funds will be utilized. <br />During the neat 12 month, our VNCOC youth staff counselor will go to probation -run detention <br />centers such as Los Pinos Conservation Camp, Joplin Youth Center, and Youth Guidance Center to <br />conduction weekly counseling sessions to youth who are incarcerated. In addition, our staff will go to Santa <br />Ana public school such as Saddleback High School and Valley High School to conduct weekly gang & crime <br />prevention/ intervention. Our target populations are low-income youth who are at risk of criminal or gang <br />activities. We also target youths who have very low academic grades. Our agency offers free after school <br />tutoring session for these students in order to help improve their grades. Staffs including volunteers senior <br />from high school and local colleges students will help manage this program. In addition, we plan to work <br />more with the parents of our youth clients in order to help them better understand and educate their <br />children. <br />In addition to giving our clients counseling sessions on crime and gang prevention, we will continue <br />giving them workshops sessions on topics like: Peer Pressure, Self-esteem, Anger Management, Drug Abuse, <br />Job Development Skills, and Youth Laws. We will also continue to work with the Orange County Probation <br />Department and school official to exchange and update information regarding crimes and youth. <br />Our program goals are to lower or terminate the gangs and crimes ideology in the youth that we <br />serve. We hope to give our youth clients a better perspective and approach to dealing with their problems <br />and behaviors.
