MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEEtiNG <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SA~A ANA. CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />October 19, 1967 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7~00 P.M in the Council Ch~nbers, 217 <br />North Main Street with the following CounciLmen present: Wade Herrin, <br />Walter Brooks~ James E. Carlson, Lorin Griset~ J. Ogden Markel, Thomas W. <br />Thurman, and Mayor Tom McMichael. There were no CounciLmen absent. Also <br />present were City Manager Carl J. Thornton, City Attorney William L. Mock, <br />Planning Director Van Stevens, Clerk of the Council Doris M. Brown, and <br />Basil Andrews, Traffic Engineer representing the Director of Public Works. <br /> <br />It was noted that the Regular Meeting of October 16, 1967, was adjourned to <br />this time and pIace, with notice posted and mailed as required by law, and <br />evidence on file. <br /> <br />Following the Flag Salute, the Invocation was delivered by Father John Wehmhoefer, <br />Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVAL On motion of CounciLman Griset~ seconded <br /> by Councilman Herrin and carried, the <br /> City C~mcil approved minutes of the <br /> following meetings~ Regular Meeting of October 2, 1967; Adjourned Regular <br /> Meeting of October 11, 1967; and Regular Meeting of October 16, 1967. <br /> <br />FAIRVIEW IMPROVEMENTS On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br /> by Councilman Markel and carried, the <br /> City Council ordered filed report of <br />bids received for Project 200 (II), Fairview Street~ Alton to Segerstrom; <br />awarded contract to Industrial Contracting Company at unit prices; and <br />rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />BID CALLS <br /> <br />Herrin and carried: <br /> <br />The following bid calls were approved <br />for opening November 14 on motion of <br />Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman <br /> <br />7 Mobile Radio Units for Public Works; Spec. 654-12 <br />~ Servlce Bodies for Trucks; Spec. 6hl-28 <br />Fire Alarm Components; Spec. 6~1-109 <br /> <br />READING WAIVED The full reading of ordinances and <br /> resolutions listed on the public <br /> agenda was waived on motion of Councilman <br />Brooks, seconded by Co~unciLman Thurman and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />ORD.
