ABSENT: <br /> <br />Ayala, Bracho, Brewster, Burrier-Lund, Dietz, <br />Elbaum, Fogarty, Haynes, Hernandez, <br />Magdalena, Metzler, Mijares, Zaragoza (13) <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />REBUILDING TOGETHER OF ORANGE COUNTY, "FAMILY CAREGIVER <br />SUPPORT PROGRAM" presented by Steve Carpenter <br /> <br />Mr. Carpenter noted that Rebuilding Together Orange County (RTOC) is a non- <br />profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to building partnerships within the <br />community to rehabilitate owner-occupied homes for Iow-income residents. RTOC <br />was recently awarded a $250,000 contract from the Orange County Office on <br />Aging for the Older Americans Act (OAA) Family Caregiver Support Program to <br />provide rehabilitation and home modification services to local residents. Mr. <br />Carpenter stated that they are looking for qualified applicants to receive these free <br />services. An applicant must live in Orange County and provide care or have a <br />family member or friend providing informal in-home care on a substantially <br />continuous basis. <br /> <br />BOARDTASKFORCEREPORT <br /> <br />BUDGET AND PROGRAM TASK FORCE presented by Maria Yanez <br /> <br />Ms. Yanez noted that the task force met on May 21st and discussed <br />recommendations for phase II of the research and development infrastructure. <br /> <br />EDUCATION TASK FORCE presented by Mada Haro <br /> <br />Director Haro noted that, at its May meeting, the Education Task Force went over <br />its mission and roles and developed three statements for its purpose. These will <br />be further discussed at the meeting scheduled for June 5, 2003. <br /> <br />MARKETING AD HOC TASK FORCE presented by Melissa Alva <br /> <br />At its meeting of May 13th the Marketing Ad Hoc Task Force approved the <br />marketing plan which was approved by the full board at tonight's meeting. <br /> <br />STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />JIM DAVIS RESIGNATION presented by Cesar Cedeno <br /> <br />SAEC MINUTES 5 MAY 28, 2003 <br /> <br /> <br />
