Additionally there is a vacancy <br />in the position of Vice Chair and a new Vice Chair will be selected in July. He further <br />reported that the Task Force will begin to review investment related opportunities. <br /> <br />STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />Bill Manis, Empowerment Zone Manager reported that three United States Department <br />of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) officials visited the Empowerment Zone on <br />June 12, 2003. The purpose of the visit was to introduce new HUD officials to staff and <br />the projects and programs taking place in Santa Ana. Staff held an introduction meeting <br />at City Hall, and then visited three Empowerment Zone locations including the New <br /> <br />SAEC MINUTES 5 ~ 25, 2003 <br /> <br /> <br />
