EXHIBIT A Scope of Work Annual Accomplishment Goal I. Number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served with grant funds during the 12- month contract period = _70 PERSONS II. Description of Work - in space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month contract period including, services to be provided, program goals, client characteristics, & how grant funds will be utilized. Career Beginnings of Orange County. During the 12 months the program will accomplish the following: 1. Recruit up to 70 high school seniors from the high schools in the Santa Ana Unified School District 2. Recruit a addition 25 mentors to work with the students 3. Provide a structured meeting environment during each of months from September 2003 to May 2004. This will be accomplished by providing speakers, specialized career progams, and a field trip to some type of science or cultural event. 4. Meet weekly with the students, to provide them with guidance and training i.e., tutoring, fmancia] aid, scholarship opportunities and job placement. Also have the students and mentors meet at other locations to discuss career and job opportunities available. 5. At the end of the year dinner (Dinner of Champions) provide scholazships to students so that they may have help in attending college.
