EXHIBIT A <br />Scope of Work <br />Annual Accomplishment Goal <br />I. Number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served with grant funds during the 12- <br />month contract period = _70 PERSONS <br />II. Description of Work - in space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month contract <br />period including, services to be provided, program goals, client characteristics, & how grant funds will be utilized. <br />Career Beginnings of Orange County. <br />During the 12 months the program will accomplish the following: <br />1. Recruit up to 70 high school seniors from the high schools in the Santa Ana Unified School <br />District <br />2. Recruit a addition 25 mentors to work with the students <br />3. Provide a structured meeting environment during each of months from September 2003 to May <br />2004. This will be accomplished by providing speakers, specialized career progams, and a field <br />trip to some type of science or cultural event. <br />4. Meet weekly with the students, to provide them with guidance and training i.e., tutoring, fmancia] <br />aid, scholarship opportunities and job placement. Also have the students and mentors meet at <br />other locations to discuss career and job opportunities available. <br />5. At the end of the year dinner (Dinner of Champions) provide scholazships to students so that they <br />may have help in attending college. <br />Schedule of Performance <br />Estimate the number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served during the 12-month <br />contract period per quarter: <br />Quarter I: July 1 -September 30 <br />Quarter 2: October 1 -December 31 <br />Quarter 3: January 1 -March 31 <br />Quarter 4: April 1 -June 30 <br />Invoicing Schedule <br />Persons <br />Persons <br />Persons <br />Persons <br />Total 70 Persons <br />Estimated the amount of grant funds to be requested during the 12-month contract period on a <br />quarterly basis: <br />Quarter 1: July 1 -September 30 $ 3750 <br />Quarter 2: October 1 -December 31 $ 3750 <br />Quarter 3: January 1 -March 31 $ 3750 <br />Quarter 4: April 1 -June 30 $ 3750 <br /> Total $ 15,000 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
