LANDSCAPING E~I~S Tt was moved by c°Uncil~an Brooks, <br /> seco~de~[ by Councilman Carlson and <br /> ' ' carried, that $12,500 be placed in <br />Fund 51-286 for landscaping entries to the City. <br /> <br />MICROI~IIR On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br /> by Councilman Carlson an~ carried, the <br /> Manager was instructed to place $30,000 <br />into various accounts for a microfilm program for the City. <br /> <br />CE~T~sAAL CEt~ATION On motion of Counci~an Brooks, seconded <br /> by Councilman Griset and carried, the <br /> Manager was instructed to place $25,000 <br />into the Budget for the 1~9 Centennial Celebration an& prepare an activity <br />description and account number. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman GriSet, <br />seco~ed by Councilman Carlsoa, that <br />the student trainee program be continuedwith <br />exi's, ting .personnel without any commitment thereafter. The motion was adopted <br />with Councilman Thu-v~an v~tin~ "lo". The Manager indicate~ all trainees or <br />interns had been terminated as of Jul,v 1st and recommended against placing <br />money into the Budget. After considerable discussion, it was moved by ¢~uncil- <br />man Griset, seconded hy Councilman Thurman and carried, that the matter be <br />reconsidered after Councilmen have an opportunity to review the a~reement <br />signed by .trainees in the Police Department.
