MINUTES OF TEE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~ <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIF(2RNIA <br /> <br />September 3, 1968 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers, 217 <br />North Main Street with the following Councilmen present: Wade Herrin, <br />Walter Rrooks, James E. Carlson, Lorin Griset, Thomas W. Thurman, and Mayor <br />Tom McMichael. Councilman J. Ogden Market was absent, but was present for <br />the evening meeting. Also present were City Manager Carl J. Thornton, City <br />Attorney William L. Mock, Director of Public Works Ronald Wolford, Senior <br />Planner Steve Lafer, and Clerk of the Council Doris M. Brown. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />1968, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br />by Councilman Griset and carried, the <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 19, <br /> <br />PROJECT 3005 m~ ~e~ <br /> On motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded <br />SANITARY SEWER by Councilman Griset and carried, Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />Project 3005, Sanitary Sewer in Grand Avenue from Seventeenth ~0Santa Elara <br />and in Seventeenth from Grand to Wright; awarded contract at unit prices to <br />the low bidder, DeLeon Construction Company; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />PROJECT 4005 O l ~95 On motion of Councilman Griset, seconded <br />STOi~iDRAIN by Councilman Herrin and carried, Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />Project 4005, U-1-B Storm Drain in Grand Avenue from Fourth to Seventeenth and <br />U-1-A Storm Drain adjacent to Southern Pacific Railroad from 263 feet north of <br />Edinger to 628 feet north of Edinger; awarded contract at unit prices to the <br />low bidder, G. Vella Construction Company; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />SPEC. S71-108 ~A ~ On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br /> by Councilman Carlson and carried, Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />Spec. 371-108, Asphaltic Concrete; awarded oontract at unit prices to the low <br />bidder, Industrial Asphalt, Inc.; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />SPEC. 641-134 a ~ fq ~ On motion of CounciLman Griset, seconded <br /> by Councilma~ Herrin and carried, Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />Spec. 641-134, Tractor, Front End Loader, Flail Mower & Landscraper, awarded <br />contract to the low bidder, International Earvester Company; and rejected all <br />other bids. <br /> <br />SPEC. 631-115 ~ m ~%~ On motion of CounciLman Eerrin, seconded <br /> by Councilman Brooks and carried, Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />Spec. 631-115, Furnish 6 replacement traffic actuated controller mechanisms <br />including adapter cables; and awarded contract to the only bidder, Eagle <br />Signal Division, E.
