MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

<br />The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers, 217
<br />North Main Street with the following Councilmen present: Wade Herrin, Walter
<br />Brooks, James E. Carlson, Lorin Griset, J. Ogden Markel, ~hornas W.
<br />Thurman, and Mayor Tom McMichael. Also present were City ~ianager
<br />Carl J. Thornton, Deputy City Attorney Verne Tindell, Director of Public
<br />Works Ronald Wolford, Director of Planning Van Stevens, and Clerk of the
<br />Council Doris M. Brown.

<br />MINUTES On motion of Councilman G~i~et, seconded
<br /> by Councilman Herrin arid ~,a2'ried, the
<br /> Minutes of the RegaI~r Meeting of November
<br />4, 1968, were approved as submitted.
<br />
<br />SPEC. 641-139 On motion of Councilman Carlson, second~d~:
<br /> by Councilman Griset and carried, Council
<br /> awarded contract for Spec. 641-139, One
<br />1 1J2 Ton Truck, Cab & Chassis only, 15,000# G.V.W.~ cab to axle 84", to
<br />International Harvester Company, the only bidder.

<br />SPEC. 641-138 On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded
<br /> by Councilman Griset and carried, COntract
<br /> for Spec. 641-138, One Two-Ton Truck,
<br />Cab & Chassis only, 1969 Model, 19, 500# G. V.W. cab to axle 124", was awarded
<br />to the only bidder, International Harvester Company.

<br />SPEC. 641-137 On motion of Councilman Broc~ks, 'seconded
<br /> by Councilman Markel and carried, Co~ncil
<br /> ordered filed report of bids received ~or
<br />Spec. 641-137, Two 2-Ton Trucks, Standard Cab & Chassis only, 19, 500# G. V. W.,
<br />cab to axle 85', Wheelbase 155"; awarded contract to the low bidder, Tommy Ayres
<br />Chevrolet; and rejected all other bids.

<br />SPEC. 641-136 On motion of Councilman Carlson, seconded
<br /> by Councilman Griset and carried, Council
<br /> ordered filed report of bids received for
<br />Spec. 641-136, Three Half-Ton Stepside Pickup Trucks; awarded contract to the
<br />low bidder, Saddleback Dodge; and rejected all other bids.
