LOUISE <br />STREET ON THE HISTORICAL REGISTER AND PLACING <br />WITHIN AN ESTABLISHED CATEGORY <br /> <br />Koo-10/27/03 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COl. <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />'HE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br /> <br />'finds, determines <br /> <br />On September <br />Resources <br />Street, Th~ <br />Properti, <br /> <br /> ~ubic hearing, the Historic <br />located at 1310 North Louise <br />~ta Ana Register of Historical <br />as Contributive by a vote of 8:0 <br /> <br />The <br />Commi,' <br /> <br />On November <br />duly noticed publi, <br /> <br /> decision of the Historic Resources <br /> to the City Council pursuant to Santa <br /> 30-8. <br /> <br /> he City Council of the City of Santa Ana held a <br />· lng to consider the appeal of the placement of the <br /> <br />property on Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties and categorization <br />as Contributive. <br /> <br />The Miller House, located at 1310 North Louise Street, Santa Ana, was <br />built in 1930, and qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties as a building with distinguishing characteristics of <br />Tudor Revival style architecture. <br /> <br />1. The distinguishing features include decorative half-timbering, <br /> steeply pitched roofs, arched openings, and asymmetrical massing. <br /> <br />2. Additionally, the structure is eligible to be categorized as <br /> Contributive as it contributes to the overall character and history of <br /> Washington Square and is a good example of period architecture <br /> as a highly intact example of a one-story Tudor Revival home from <br /> the 1920-1931 period. <br /> <br />3.
