PARCEL MAP 587 Council considered Parcel Map 587, <br /> filed by Charles Cohen, creating two <br /> parcels on the west side of Grand Avenue <br />and north side of 14th Street. Dale Heinly, attorney representing applicant, <br />requested that the Council make a determination regarding ornamental street <br />light fees and subdivider business license tax, noted in Planning Director's <br />report for subdivider to investigate. The Planning Director s~ated the fees <br />were not a condition of approval. The Public Works Director explained that <br />if a piece of land in a parcel map was not large enough to substantiate an <br />ornamental street light, the cost was prorated on a front footage basis and <br />the property owners shared in the cost. Mayor McMichael requested an <br />opinion from the City Attorney regarding the subdivider business license <br />fees, since a new lot was not being created. The City Attorney stated that <br />the subdivision license fee, as set out in the Business License Ordinance <br />of the Municipal Code, did not apply to this situation. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Griset and carried, <br />Parcel Map 587 was approved subject to conditions in Planning Director's <br />Report dated January 17, 1969, and alley requirement waived. <br /> <br />PARCEL MAP 590 Parcel Map 590, filed by James B. <br /> Hodges, creating four parcels on the <br /> west side of Cedar between Occidental <br />and Edinger, was approved subject to conditions in Planning Director's <br />report dated January 20, 1969, on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded <br />by Councilman Griset and carried. <br /> <br />SURPLUS BUILDING After considering Surplus Property <br /> Report 7-69 regarding one story <br /> single family residence at 914 Lincoln <br />Avenue, Council declared the building surplus and authorized demolition, <br />on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by CounciLman Brooks and carried. <br /> <br />SURPLUS BOOKS On motion of Councilman Brooks, <br /> seconded by Councilman Thurman and <br /> carried, the request of the City Attorney <br />to have certain books in his office, as listed, declared surplus was granted. <br />and Council authorized disposal of the books by sale by the Purchasing and <br />Property Cnntrol Officer. <br /> <br />RECESS <br /> <br />present. <br /> <br />CITY HALL <br /> <br />considered by Council. <br /> <br />At 2:40 P.
