TRAFFIC Report of control devices removed or <br /> installed 1/24/69 through 2/7/69 was <br /> ordered filed, on motion of Councilman <br />Brooks, seconded by Councilman Markel and carried. <br /> <br />ALTERNATE CONSTRUCTION Council considered the request of Goodwill <br />GOODWILL INDUSTRIES Industries for additions to building at <br /> 2702 West 5th which would consitute a <br />violation of the Building Code. It was moved by Councilman Brooks, seconded <br />by Councilman Griset and carried, that the alternate construction be approved <br />subject to the conditions listed in the Building Safety Director's report dated <br />February 13, 1969. <br /> <br />PARCEL MAP 592 Council considered Parcel Map 592, <br /> filed by Ernie Buchheim creating 4 <br /> parcels on the north side of 17th <br />between Wright and Sherry Lane. Frank Bueche, subdivider representing <br />applicant, objected to the condition requiring full width sidewalk along <br />Mabury, stated his opinion that the street lighting request should be placed <br />in conditions imposed, and requested a 40 foot driveway be allowed in the <br />middle of the property. <br /> <br />After discussion by Council, it was moved by Councilman Herrin, seconded <br />by Councilman Griset, to approve Parcel Map 592 subject to the conditions <br />in the Planning Director's report dated February 11, 1969 except that under <br />Condition 3 e, the requirement of a full sidewalk on Mabury be deleted. <br /> <br />Councilman Herrin amended his motion to add that the developer have the <br />alternative of either putting in the full sidewalk or a 3 1/2 foot strip of <br />landscaping, and Councilman Griset seconded the amended motion. The <br />amended motion was adopted on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Carlson, Griset, Markel, McMichael <br />Brooks <br />Thurman <br /> <br />The first motion was adopted on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Brooks, Carls~on, Griset, Markel, McMichael <br />None <br />Thurman <br /> <br />RECESS At 5:40 P.
