Variance and Conditional Use Permit (cOntinued) <br /> <br />VA 69-25, GALLIHAM - construct an apartment complex on property in <br />the R 1 District at 415-421 S. Orange Ave. - APPROVED; <br />VA 69-26, STRICH - to expand an existing convalescent hospital in the <br />A 1 District at 2210 E. First Street - APPROVED; <br />VA 69-27, PAWL - to waive the required 10~ rear yard in the C 1 District <br />for a proposed commercial building at 2730 N. Bristol Street - DENIED. <br /> <br />TENTATIVE TRACT 6961 Council considered Tentative Tract Map <br /> 6961, filed by Santiago Development <br /> Company, creating 179 lots (174 single <br />family residence lots, one park lot, one patio home lot, one mobile home park <br />lot, one apartment lot and one cormmerctal lot), located northeast of the inter- <br />section of MacArthur Boulevard and Flower Street. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Iviarkel, seconded by Councilman Patterson, to <br />approve Tentative Tract Map 6961. After a discussion regarding the possibility <br />of the City's requiring dedication of park sites by the developer in these large <br />subdivisions, the motion to approve Tentatave Tract Map 6961 was adopted on <br />the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Brooks, Villa, Herrin <br />Markel, Patterson <br />Thurman, Griset <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Patterson, seconded by Councilman Markel and carried, <br />the staff was instructed to review the matter of park dedication under the appropriate <br />State legislation and report to Council with a tentative ordinance for Council to <br />consider. <br /> <br />PARCEL MAP 603 Tentative Parcel Map 603, filed by J. W. <br /> Copeland Yards, creating two M 1 parcels <br /> on the southwest corner of Fifth and Raitt, <br />was approved subject to conditions in Planning Director's report dated April 24, <br />1969, and alley requirement was waived, on motion of Councilman lviarkel, <br />seconded by Councilman Patterson and carried. . <br /> <br />PARCEL MAP 607 Tentative Parcel Map 607, filed by Egon A. <br /> Gardner and Fred Marigold, creating four <br /> C 5 and R 1 B parcels on the northeast <br />corner of Wright and 18th Streets, was approved subject to conditions in Planning <br />Director's report dated May 12, 1969, and alley requirement was waived, on <br />motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Councilman Patterson and carried. <br /> <br />PARCEL MAP 608 Tentative Parcel Map 608, filed by Egon A. <br /> Gardner and Fred Mangold, creating two <br /> C 5 parcels on the south side of 18th Street, <br />east of Wright Street, was approved subject to conditions in Planning Director's <br />report dated May 12, 1969, and alley requirement was waived, on motion of <br />Councilman Markel, seconded by Councilman Patterson and carried. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />- 217 - <br /> <br />May 19, 1969 <br /> <br /> <br />
